Abstract
Laboratory breeding of german cockroaches, B. germanica, have been under taken in insectory which had been kept the constant temperature 25¡É and 60% of related humidity during the breeding period. Each developing stages of german cockroaches in the laboratory condition was summerized as follows:
1. The incubation period of eggs which were observed from 8 batches of german cockroaches were 36.8 days (39-35 days) in average, and hatching rate of observed eggs were showed 76.1%. The average numbers of hatched mymphs from one ootheca were checked as 30.3 (19-48) from 39.8 (36-48) eggs.
2. The growing rate from 1st to 4th developing instar of nymph were about 7-8 days each, however last instar of nymphal period showed 13.4 days.
3. The nymphal period was 53.4 days in average (female : 54.7, male: 52.1 days), and the growing rate of males were faster for few days than females.
4. The individual growing rate were very and earliest emerged adults was corresponded to the days of 4th molt of latest growing nymph stage.
5. The mortality of nymph stage of german cockroaches was 11.6% total observed individuals, but 50% total mortality was showed within 1st instar nymph.
